Bus accident near 208 and East Jack Jouett Road | News | thecentralvirginian.com

At 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday (March 13,2024) Virginia State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Louisa County.

A 2006 Suzuki motorcycle, traveling at a high rate of speed, northbound on Route 208 struck a school bus, driven by a 67-year old male from Louisa, as it was making a turn from eastbound Jack Jouett Road to northbound Route 208. The motorcycle struck the bus in the passenger side. There were no children on the bus or injuries to the driver.

The driver of the motorcycle, Dequan S. Johnson, 23, of Louisa, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injury and was transported to the hospital. He was wearing a helmet.

Charges are pending.

This crash remains under investigation.
